New Soham Homes
to go up for Keyworkers
Keyworkers are being given the chance to get on
the property ladder in Soham, thanks to a new affordable housing scheme. A
partnership has been formed between
East Cambridgeshire
District Council, the
Cambridge Housing Society
and the
Flagship
Housing Group
to build a new estate in the town. The homes will be built
in Gadwell Way, and 36 of the 121 homes will be for keyworkers, including
nurses, police officers, social workers, teachers and prison staff. The first
three keyworker homes have been finished and the plans for the rest of the
estate include 19 two-bedroom homes, 14 three-bedroom homes and three
four-bedroom houses.
